During my time in London, I was happy to be involved into some freelance collective work with a team that realised the huge-scale physical exhibition displays 'Octagon' for various occasions.
Together with Tom Butler, Julie Howell, Yewon Shim and Nele Vos, we formed a collective, each person responsible for an own part. I took care of the media elements and supported the technical production in the process. The low-cost and environmentally friendly exhibition display structure, was made up of 80 identical plywood octagons components that combine to make a large, irregular and expansive whole.
The modular design allowed us to be flexible in the shape, to meet client's and spatial needs. For the exhibition at the British council we also applied an abstract projection onto the structure to emphasise the themes of 'partnership, collaboration and innovation between UK and German universities' addressed in the event.
Part of our work was also to assemble and dismantle the physical structure.
